All Hallow's Read!

I'm busy cataloging all of the new books we'll put out in November (can we say latest by James Dashner?  Or Gayle Forman?  Or how about the thrilling conclusion to the Divergent trilogy?)

In the meantime I wanted to get you all geared up for the weeks ahead and especially for October 31st.  Typically known as Halloween but around here it's All Hallow's Read!!!

What is All Hallow's Read?  I'm going to let Neil Gaiman explain (as I do every year) because he does it so much better.  And he's standing in a graveyard.

If you're looking for a book to read this month in honor of All Hallow's Read...perhaps something a little spooky, stop by the library and check out the books we've put on display.  And on the 31st we'll have copies of The Headless Horseman and The Raven to give out.  Because if you're gonna read a book, you gotta give a book!

The final and GRIMMEST book ever!

There was a splendid package waiting for me in the mail yesterday.

How much did the Middle School like our gift?

New Books in Library!!!

Happy October, everyone!

A new month means new books!  The graphic novels this month are particularly exciting.  Delilah Dirk and Turkish Lieutenant literally made me burst out laughing.  It's witty and cute all rolled into one.

And David Levithan has a new novel, Two Boys Kissing.  (If you're curious about the cover, come ask me because I read an interview with the author and there's a really cool story behind it...)  Oh and while we're talking about covers, The Clockwork Scarab has an awesome story behind it's cover, too.  Ask me!  I'm dying to share.

Some fantastic non-fiction, a slew of young adult that I could rattle on rapturously for stop by and check something out!
