In movie news...

...the Hunger Games soundtrack has been announced.

You can now watch Taylor Swift's video Safe & Sound which will the be the lead song for the film.  It's interesting to see what details she chose to highlight.  I like that they didn't include a lot of shots from the movie.  You can watch the music video here at the EW article about the music video and film.  Another soundtrack feature is One Engine by The Decemberists.  You can hear a sample of the song as well as check out the rest of the playlist, here.  Those in the know my recognize the lead singer as the author of this recent library acquistition:
Hunger Games will hit the big screen in March.  Depending on when it comes to DVD, I see a potential screening party in the MS/US library!

New books in the library for February!

Hello everyone and happy February!  What a great month, it's Black History Month for one- stay tuned for an exciting display coming to the library soon!  February also means Valentine's Day and if love isn't in the air, at least there should be a surplus of chocolate lying about.

Now to the books! (And don't forget to see my note below about the new fantasy title Fox & Phoenix.)
